Laser Hair Removal

Laser hair removal is a medical procedure that uses a concentrated beam of light (laser) to remove unwanted body hair. A laser emits a light that is absorbed by the pigment (melanin) in the hair. The light energy is converted to heat, which damages the tube-shaped sacs within the skin (hair follicles) that produce hairs which inhibits or delays future hair growth.

With our state of the art Luxea laser hair removal device, you will experience hair reduction with ease. This technology has an, “in-motion” option which makes this experience much less painful than traditional stamping. There is also a cooling tip, allowing added comfort for each pass!

Hair grows in three cycles, but can only be effectively treated during its Anagen (active) state of growth. As such, additional treatments are needed so that each follicle can be treated during the correct growth phase. Typical number of treatments ranges from 6 to 9, roughly 10 weeks apart.

We can safely and effectively treat all skin types. Laser hair removal works best on light-skinned individuals with dark hair. Certain hair will not respond to laser treatment – we cannot treat white or grey hairs, for example. Blonde and red hair will respond to our laser, but not to the same degree as darker hair colors. For an effective treatment, your hair must be darker than your skin.
